Chapter Elects 2005 Officers Posted Mon, Dec 6 2004 The Brothers of Sigma Nu elect Brandon S Knott (QI 368) as their Commander for 2005. On Sun, Dec 5th, Knott along with nine other newly elected officers were sworn to uphold chapter and national bylaws under authority of a charter granted by National Headquarters as prescribed by The Law of Sigma Nu. Commencement Features Isaac Hayes Posted Fri, Nov 26 2004 Isaac Hayes, star of recorded music, film and television, will deliver the fall 2004 commencement address at 10 AM Dec 18th in Murphy Center at MTSU. Halloween Homecoming is a Victory! Posted Sun, Oct 31 2004 On Sat, Oct 30th, Sigma Nu, Alpha Chi Omega, and Alpha Gamma Rho placed second in the Homecoming Float Competition. Shane Colston (QI 350) was awarded Homecoming King runner-up. Actives and alumni enjoyed food and a Blue Raider shutout against Utah State. [more]
Family Day Celebration is Triumphant Posted Mon, Oct 11 2004 Over the weekend, Sigma Nu sponsored MTSU's Faith and Family Weekend. On Fri, Oct 9th, the Chapter along with Alpha Chi Omega and Alpha Gamma Rho placed first in MTSU's annual Fight Song competition. On Sat, Oct 10th, families of Sigma Nu attended our traditional cookout and Blue Raiders win against Arkansas State. [more]
Homecoming 2004 :: October 26-30th Posted Fri, Oct 1 2004 Homecoming 2004 will be our most memorable event this fall. The dates are October 26-30, 2004. The theme for this year's Homecoming is MONSTER BASH as we participate with the lovely ladies of Alpha Chi Omega. Activities will include traditional events like Fight Song Competition, Chili Cook-Off, Float Competition, Carnival, and Parade. [more]

Summer Activities Confirmed Posted Tue, Jun 29 2004 Summer reunion and cookout will occur Sun, Jul. 4 at the house. The MTSU fireworks show will procede later that evening. Brotherhood retreat and St. Louis Cardinals/Milwaukee Brewers baseball night will take place on Wed, Jul. 21. Several officers will also attend the 61st Sigma Nu Grand Chapter in St. Louis Jul. 21-25.

The chapter initiated three of its spring candidates at our birthplace. Commencement Speaker Announced Posted Sun, Apr 25 2004 Lana C. Seivers, Tennessee commissioner of education and MTSU alumna, will be the commencement speaker for the Spring 2004 commencement ceremony. The event will take place on May 15, 2004, 10 a.m. at Murphy Center. Brothers Adam Skelton, Kevin White, and Grey Wilson will be graduating from the active chapter.

Essary Wins Mr. MTSU Competition Posted Wed, Mar 3 2004 Four brothers represented Sigma Nu at the annual Mr. MTSU competition: Justin Essary, Cody Miller, Jon M Stewart, and JT Walters. Stewart placed first runner-up while Essary finished home with the crown. Alumni along with actives celebrated after the event. [more]
Alcohol Awareness Presentation Planned Posted Sun, Feb 15 2004 After the MTSU vs Western Kentucky basketball game Feb 26, there will be an alcohol awareness presentation at the house given by Lt. Robert Brown, Tennessee Highway Patrol. All active brothers and MTSU guests should be present by 8:45 p.m.
Chi Omega Mixer is a Success Posted Mon, Feb 9 2004 Sigma Nu hosted a mixer this evening with Chi Omega at Infernobar, Murfreesboro. The event was hosted by Nashville's own 80s cover band. With over 200 attendees, our thanks goes out to Chi Omega for making this three hour event such a success.
