Posted: Wed, May 7 2003 Dave Patton (QI 185), Alumni Chapter President, releases the following letter written directly to all Sigma Nu Alumni. Topics discussed include Amsouth Amphitheater fundraising and general Fraternity news. Gentlemen, I wanted to take a minute to catch all of you up on a few chapter items. First of all, congratulations to the active chapter for being named as Outstanding Chapter at the most recent awards ceremony at MTSU. This is a great accomplishment that deserves much recognition from us all. Let all of the actives know that you are proud of what they are accomplishing by stopping by and saying hello and Congratulations. We need to work hard and strive to be an Outstanding Alumni Chapter in their support! Secondly, The fund raising effort at Amsouth Amphitheater has gone very well so far. We have had three events to date and have had some alumni at each and every show to this point. It is a lot of work, but it is very satisfying to work along side of the actives and show them that we still care. They have done a superb job of staffing the concession for each of the shows. If you have not been able to help, please try to fit this into your schedule. I would estimate our earnings so far to be somewhere between $ 2000 and $ 2500 for these three shows. I am attaching another copy of the current schedule for you to compare with your busy calendars. Please let me know if you can help! The final bit of info I thought was interesting was the active chapter volunteering to help Watson's Pool & Spa move their office facility. This service earned them a brand new Pool Table that has been installed at the Chapter House. Come on down and challenge an active to a game of pool! AMSOUTH CONCERT SCHEDULE
